I specialise in fitting cat flaps and dog doors. I am based in Edenbridge and cover large parts of Kent, Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex

I do not employ others, nor do I sub-contract any work, although I do work closely with Phil Foulger of Four Paws Doors who I've known for over 25 years and who works in South London. Phil and I provide mutual support and the sharing of work experience and good practice

Every job receives my personal attention from the initial enquiry to completion. I have a broad range of general practical skills and all of my work is of high quality and to a professional finish. I can carry out work during the day and evenings throughout the week, including weekends and should be able to schedule your work within a week or so

I have installed cat flaps and dog doors into:

Wooden doors
uPVC doors
Glass doors
Metal skinned doors
French doors
Sliding patio doors
Windows
Single glazing
Double glazing
Brick walls
Block walls
Timber framed walls

I can install your own cat flap or dog door or supply a pet flap for installation, replace or upgrade an existing pet flap in the same panel, or completely remove a pet flap and provide a new panel to replace the cut one

The types of cat flaps and dog doors I use are either manual or microchip controlled. I do not recommend the magnetic or infra-red types. These are from a range of manufacturers including Pet Mate (Cat Mate and Dog Mate), Pet Safe (Petporte and Staywell), Pet-Tek, PlexiDor and Sureflap.

I will always respectful of your home, family and pets when invited in to fit a pet door. I will clean up once the work is done and take away any debris for proper disposal. When fitting a pet door I take great care not to compromise the strength or security of the door, wall or window through which it passes

I follow the manufacturer's instructions in regard to installation. However, I carry out additional sealing beyond the manufacturer's requirements to ensure my installations are thoroughly weathertight. For illustrations of this please see Weatherproofing at the bottom of theĀ DIY Fitting page

I take great pride in carrying out high quality work. If anything should go wrong I will do whatever needs to be done to put things right for you. I let my clients' unsolicited comments be my main endorsement
